Arden Wohl (born 1983) is a 24-year-old New York socialite, philanthropist, and budding film director and producer. Dubbed by the popular Gawker.com blog as "the alternasocialite", she is currently co-producing (with George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh) Playground, a documentary about the plight of sexually abused and neglected children.
A graduate of NYU's film school, she is the daughter of real-estate mogul Larry Wohl. New York University (NYU) is a large research-oriented university in New York City, and is among the most prestigious post-secondary institutions in the United States.
Wohl was recently featured in the July 2007 edition of Vogue. The aspiring filmmaker caused one newspaper to wonder if she's "the earthy antidote to the beau monde's bevy of blond ambition". Wohl is known for her ornaments, bands and crowns around her head; "I love head pieces", she recently told a popular magazine.
She has raised funds for The Nest Foundation, a charity committed to raising the public's awareness of the commercial and sexual exploitation of children around the world, particularly those within the United States. Wohl dedicated the proceeds from her recent graduation ceremony to this worthy charity.

Her senior thesis, Coven, an interpretation of the Hansel and Gretel fable, premiered in 2006 at Art Basel Miami. The 13-minute film was narrated by Leelee Sobieski.
The musical score was performed by director Jordan Galland and starred Domino Kirke. Wohl is currently writing a feature film and is pursuing her interest in several causes, including the Global Anti-Genocide Campaign.
